Funny thing about “a lot”- it’s taken me 1/2 century, but I finally got it right. A little slow on the rules of grammar, but somehow I got it…now.
LOL I remember my 4th grade teacher saying (in an exasperated voice) “Class, do not write all of a sudden in your composition essays. You can’t have half of a sudden therefore you can’t have all of a sudden the word is suddenly!”
I’ve never forgotten that – even after 56 years 😀
