Clarity

I could dance around in metaphors but I want to give you the truth, not the power to interpret.

I thought about hypnotizing you with imagery and illusion but it can’t be hidden with beautiful pictures.

Dancing around with language isn’t doing anything but confusing the situation.

Do you see it now?

It must be clear,

I can’t live without you.

Writing Mood

Sometimes you just need to get words, thoughts, ideas, characters and emotions down before they are gone forever.
There will always be time to go back but only if there’s something to go back to.

I have been having issues sitting down to write but the last couple of days have been motivating.

Please

It’s not dark- there are people and lights everywhere. It’s so cold, the type of chill that gets into your bones and takes hold.

She is screaming at the top of her lungs. No one pays attention as they walk by. Unfortunately for her, she has no idea the yelling has made her beyond comprehension.

No one even looks, afraid of what might happen if eye contact is made. They don’t know, that’s all she longs for, a human connection.

Both hope that she will just collapse out of exhaustion. It won’t be long now, she can’t possibly carry on, can she?

Put us out of our misery, all of us.

Please.

Missing In Action

Sorry everyone I haven’t been putting too much time in here but I have had great progress on my NaNoWriMo novel 🙂
I am at 30k and with a snow day hoping to end at 40k.

How’s everyone doing as we hit the second half of the month?

Atmosphere

Inspiration for a story can be found anywhere. The novel I am writing for NaNoWrimo takes place in present time but there are hints of the past.

When I think of what kind of past I want to incorporate I can’t help but think of the historic Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs. The grandeur, the beauty, and the mystery of what lies behind the scenes calls out to me.

What is everyone else using to help build their novels?
