Friday Greetings

christmastreeofbooks

The Holidays and the end of the year are coming and personally I could not be more pleased. A lot of great things have happened in 2012, this blog and all of your support being one of them. I just want to say Happy Holidays this Friday to all of my followers, thank you for all of your support.

Also how great is this tree for an alternative idea to a real tree, don’t know if I could ever go without the smell of a real evergreen in my house but I might be willing to risk it.

Friday Wonderin’

bookchair

As the Holiday season quickly approaches I have been searching everywhere for fun and unique gift ideas. I came across this book chair and had two immediate reactions; how fun would that be and a great way to recycle old books, is there anyway that it is actually comfortable? I am torn, this would be a great piece to have in my home, but would I ever be able to enjoy a good book curled up on it? I am left wondering this Friday morning; what do you all think would it be comfortable? Happy Friday Everyone!

Books, Beds and Dreams

Headboard of books

My favorite place to read is definitely my bed; it’s comfortable, cozy and the perfect place to come up with the best new ideas. I saw this headboard and fell in love, it may not be practical but it would be a nice way to incorporate your favorite books, poems, or thoughts. Every night before you fall asleep you could read one final sentence and let the inspiration take over your dreams. Happy Friday!

A Tepee in The Junipers

greentepee

On a cool balmy morning the mist still covering the low laying hills, the separation of structure and nature is gone. Seamlessly the tepee has risen from the earth; creating a fortress only previously seen in fairytales. This is the type of place where a good book is meant to be written or read, it can take a person to another place. Happy Friday!

Fireplace Friday

When I started posting on Fridays this was the type photo that I found to be inspiring. I have never had a fireplace so the idea of turning one into a place to store all of my beloved books sounds fabulous, unless of course the heat goes out and its a cold winter’s night. I could just imagine curling up on a big, fluffy coach and diving into one of the classics, the fireplace being a portal for my imagination.

Friday in Finland?

As I was cruising around the internet, yes cruising, looking for the perfect post for my favorite theme of Friday Dreamin’ I came across this gem. This is located in Finland where you can rent an igloo and literally sleep under the Northern Ligts, I can only imagine how beautiful that must be. I would love to do some writing under the window-roof with a sight like that playing out above me, Happy Friday Everyone!

There is more than meets the eye

Hello Everyone!

I want to thank all of you for following and participating on my blog, it is greatly apprecaited, from it I have found many, many blogs to follow myself. With all of that said I would like to announce the creation of a new section of this blog, I am calling it “outside of the lines” while I will still be focusing on literature and influenced by it I am taking my topics to a new place in this new category. I want to bring in current events, travel, food, sports, anything I can think of and write about; I would also like to share some of the great things  have been finding whenever I am browsing Word Press.

I look forward to this new venture with you,

~Alysia

The possibilities of Friday

I don’t know what it is about Friday but the possibilities seem to be endless, much like this awesome free little library. I think a free little library should be in every neighborhood, a great way to share books and ideas. Happy Friday everyone and for my fellow NaNoWrimos I hope it is a productive Friday and weekend for those word counts.
