Poem 1.2.14 (1)

A foundation of strength prevents a weak house.

A voice, a pillar, a moment of time all shared through the power of a story.

Just one lifetime.

Left behind we will revel and climb to higher places. We didn’t have to start from the bottom.

I can leave a greater foundation for the next generation.

Eternally grateful – Constantly smiling.

Inevitably Vain

IMG_0960.JPG

Two standing, one fallen.

Two proud, one now lacking the power to stand tall.

Against the backdrop their position could not be clearer.

Two understand that one day, one day their time will come.

Until then- the two will take advantage of each opportunity, ray of sunshine.

No one wants the final fall to be made in vain.

Life Notes

Put the words to the page-
Don’t read them once you finish the sentence.

Go on, move forward take them at face value.

Complete that thought whether it hurts or feels empowering.

I thought I knew it all that everything made sense. I didn’t expect for my understanding to spin out of control. Surprisingly I am grateful for the new awareness as the page is flipped to the next chapter.

Natural Casualty

Fallen but its beauty only changes.
Gone is the prestige of standing tall and proud.

It’s replaced by an understanding that there is an opportunity to give back.

From a new perspective the view of the world doesn’t change but what can be offered has changed forever.
