I haven’t read it, but Hemingway seen from his wife’s POV sounds interesting (you have to feel for her though)
I’m with you, six months freedom to write would be lovely! Mind you, I’d settle for three months; after all, one does not want to be greedy 😉 I’ve discovered a pretty good alternative though — house sitting. My doctor’s neighbour needed someone to take care of her dogs (2) and her chickens (all 5 of them) while she went skiing for a week. It was great. Then my doctor asked me to house sit for her ( 2 cats) and this week I’m house sitting for a friend.(1 dog). Your family and friends stay away because they don’t want to phone and visit a stranger’s house. The only interruption is the occasional text message. You can slob around in your PJ’s all day if you want 😀
