Midnight

*********

Do not think that it’s a mere Fairytale,

Believe it.

Act as if Midnight is quickly,

Approaching.

Waiting for the dream is wasteful,

It cannot, It will not,

Find you.

You must seek it.

It will happen;

Patience is not a virtue.

  1. Firstly, for the ‘midnight’ metaphor is really a strong one…very intelligent of u…Secondly, it cannot it will not find you is again a HIT thought for its so true..u’re never excavated, u urself have to show up out of the earth…Thirdly, patience has dark alleys of its own, it might just snatch away your moment, forever….

    So this why I lovvvved this post of urs, it is indeed one of the most witty n intelligent compositions, I’ve actually come across in the poetic corridors of the blogosphere…

  2. Although your poem is an allusion that stands well on its own, I couldn’t help thinking about Cinderella. A lot of people wish Cinderella was a more active hero. What’s interesting is that there is a little known animated sequel to the film, which I know because I have a 5 year old daughter who is the perfect demographic… If you look up reviews, it’s very well thought of. I really enjoy the film. Cinderella finally has to work for her dream–and it’s very satisfying to watch her do so, because finally there’s no doubt that she deserves her just desserts.
