Walking down the path he happens to notice it out of the corner of his eye. He is in a hurry, he’s going to be late but he has to get a better look. A thousand little questions dance across his mind. What if? What if? What if?
Simple yet beautiful. A flicker from the wind makes them dance, a dance only they understand.
There is a story.
The shadow plays softly against the untouched snow, it is like the moon before it hides behind the clouds. It is like me standing on the path wondering what has happened to all these trees?

I am halfway through the rough draft, it’s practically ready for Oprah…
Do all of your best ideas come to light just as darkness surrounds you? I can stare for hours at my notebook or at my laptop without a single thought to grab onto. Then, just as I drift off and dream of what could be the scene strikes. It’s never fully developed but it is a dare. Do I get out of the warm confines of my bed to jot down this magnificent unicorn of an idea? Or do I trust myself to remember it come the break of dawn?
I have done both several times, meeting with failure and victory.
Is it because I allow my mind to wander so freely that these thoughts take hold? Is it because my imagination is priming itself for whatever dream I am about to have? I wish I could capture whatever it is I do before I fall to sleep.
The perfect writing trance, it is like nirvana for my creativity. It cannot be created only experienced.
Experience is the best teacher.

sunlight cannot light it up,
grasp warmth from within.

The end can approach
quickly, quietly without warning.
It could be your moment.
Standing at a crossroad,
you must decide.
The leaves are just
waiting to be rustled.
Seize the chance to
create your own with path with
pen in hand.
My word count is sad but I am making a comeback- I will finish because it’s the only thing I know how to do.
I do have a pretty fantastic party scene involving a white helicopter and men wearing red tuxedos which is my shining achievement at the moment.
