I just realized I failed you in the month of November as I went through my successful NaNoWriMo experience.
How did everyone else do? Any big takeaways? Anyone going to continue their story?
I am very pleased with my plot and I fully plan to review, edit and take it to completion.
Also here’s the third edition of our Authors & Beers- it’s a fun way to look at the end of NaNoWrimo.

I’ll be back later this week with some new poetry 📓📓📓
Week 1 is quickly coming to a close, we should be at the 10K mark by the end of the day, I took yesterday off so I am playing a bit of catch up but I think I will make it.
How is everyone else doing?
Today I have also released the first in my series on Hard 12 Brews (CO beer Blog) of Authors and Beers. Click the link below to see what beer I am pairing up with Ernest Hemingway.
Authors and Beers | First Edition
Today is the big day – as you can see I got very specific on my plot layout. Well, at least I have an idea for my plot.
I prefer to do all of this on the fly and let the ideas roll, the story goes in all sorts of directions when I write like this. It’s all part of the adventure and I’ll keep everyone updated along the way.
It’s not too late for us to become writing buddies 😉
NaNoWriMo is coming, can you believe it’s 7 days until go time?
I can’t believe it but I have started to tentatively lay out a storyline and/or plot, it depends on how you want to view it. No more than a page or two just to give me something to run with once the clock strikes midnight.
How many of you are participating this year?
This will be my 5th and I have won 3 out of the last 4 times.
This one will be a bit more difficult than the last few attempts. I will be updating this blog, traveling to California for a week and keeping my beer blog regularly updated.
Check the link below to see the fun things we will be doing with Authors and Beers for the month of November – I would appreciate the support there too (go ahead and give it a follow), you guys have been so great on this blog.

Want to write with me?
My NaNo name is Liah2131
Anyone doing something new and different this year to increase their chances of winning? I am always on the hunt for tips for success.
I know this has been a long time coming. For those of you who have been with me from the beginning I sincerely appreciate your patience and continued support of this blog. As I have talked about for what seems like and what has become years I do in fact plan on self-publishing a novel in the immediate future.
While I am not certain of it, at some point, I have to show my first attempt to the world and I feel like it is very much something I can be proud of and will look back at fondly. I still intend to keep this particular site as my online writing space to share my thoughts, inspirations, interactions, poems etc. With that in mind I have started the process of a second page.
This new page will be dedicated to my published writing and any other opportunities that may come along. I would be greatly appreciative of your support on this new page. You all have been with me from the beginning and I hope that many of you will read and give me your feedback on the novel. Details will be coming soon, anticipation can be great 🙂
Without further ado, see below for the new blog:
I look forward to sharing this new adventure with you- my readers, my fellow writers and my cohorts in the blogging world.
Sometimes you just need to get words, thoughts, ideas, characters and emotions down before they are gone forever.
There will always be time to go back but only if there’s something to go back to.
I have been having issues sitting down to write but the last couple of days have been motivating.
Sorry everyone I haven’t been putting too much time in here but I have had great progress on my NaNoWriMo novel 🙂
I am at 30k and with a snow day hoping to end at 40k.
How’s everyone doing as we hit the second half of the month?
Inspiration for a story can be found anywhere. The novel I am writing for NaNoWrimo takes place in present time but there are hints of the past.
When I think of what kind of past I want to incorporate I can’t help but think of the historic Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs. The grandeur, the beauty, and the mystery of what lies behind the scenes calls out to me.
What is everyone else using to help build their novels?
As some of you might have noticed I haven’t been dedicated nearly as much or enough time to this blog over the last few weeks.
For that reason and because I have several larger projects (novels) to complete I am going to take an extended break. I will be away for approximately one month.
When I get back there will be a new layout, lots of fresh new material and I hope to make an announcement about self- publishing at least one of my novels.
As always I sincerely thank you for your support and hope to see you when I get back.
